Head of Warehousing and Supply Chain

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Head of Warehousing and Supply Chain to lead and oversee all warehouse and supply chain related matters. This is a key leadership position responsible for end-to-end warehousing and supply chain management — from inbound through production to dispatch, overseeing inventory control, procurement and cross-functional planning with, finance, and buying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong, supportive, and engaging leadership to the warehouse, inventory, production, and dispatch teams.
  • Collaborate closely with the buying team to proactively plan for key business events, including:

  • Container arrivals

  • Production peaks
  • Space and storage requirements
  • Develop a container arrival plan in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, detailing delivery timing, offloading logistics, and resourcing.
  • Negotiate contracts for:

  • Inbound and outbound freight

  • 3PL and offsite storage
  • Waste removal
  • Relevant software agreements
  • Coordinate and oversee all cycle counts and stocktakes across all entities, ensuring accurate inventory levels and stockholding value at all times.
  • Review and approve supply chain-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and alignment with agreed terms.
  • Lead asset management initiatives, including maintenance scheduling and budgeting for warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet wrappers, conveyors).
  • Oversee warehouse and equipment leasing, including negotiation and ongoing management.
  • Develop and monitor departmental cost and Labour budgets, including monthly reporting, analysis, and undertaking cost-saving initiatives.
  • Continuously review and improve supply chain practices to drive efficiency, cost reductions, and operational excellence.
  • Assess and analyse supplier performance in conjunction with the inventory team, providing feedback and driving improvement.

About You

You are a proactive, strategic thinker with a deep understanding of supply chain operations and a passion for leadership. You thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and excel at balancing tactical execution with long-term planning.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in a senior warehouse management and senior supply chain role, ideally within high-growth, high-volume ecommerce businesses.
  • Full-spectrum warehouse experience: inbound, production/assembly (kitting), and dispatch.
  • Broad supply chain expertise: procurement, MRP, forecasting, and 3PL management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • A collaborative and engaging leadership style with a hands on approach..
  • Self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Solutions-oriented with a strong drive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
