Pop-Up Therapy is a mobile and clinic based occupational therapy service supporting children and young people to create a meaningful life through learning, growth, and connection. Our goal is to partner with the young people and families that we support to help them achieve their goals and acquire the skills they need to live an enriched and fulfilled life. Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, or higher.
- Experience and/or interest in a paediatric caseload.
- A full, unrestricted Australian Driver's License and reliable access to a registered, fully insured vehicle.
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to obtain upon graduation).
- Hold or are willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and/or Police Check prior to commencing, as required.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide person-centred occupational therapy support including intervention, assessment, and education to children and young people in Brisbane (including NDIS participants, private health families and CDM clients).
- When required, deliver professional development workshops to schools, educators, and/or parents.
- Work collaboratively within the Pop-Up team and optimise your unique knowledge, experience and skillset throughout your day-to-day practice.
- Conduct NDIS review reports and functional capacity assessments as required.
- Enjoy getting to know your area Pop-Up Therapy is a community-based service; thus, travel to client's homes, schools, early childhood centres and/or workplaces is essential. All appointments involve PAID travel.
- Provide telehealth services to families.
- Contribute to the learning and development of the team, as required and where able (e.g., feedback from PDs attended, supervision for newer career therapists).
