The Roles

  • Occupational Therapist taking on a growing list of community clients in a variety of settings including residential homes, retirement villages, and residential aged care facilities.
  • Permanent part-time and full time position available
  • New graduates are welcomed

Job Description

  • Demonstrate Valens Care core values
  • Assessment of a variety of case loads including home safety assessment, home modifications, equipment prescription and ongoing OT interventions.
  • Assessment of mobility and ADLs and prescription of mobility and functional aids
  • Prescription of individualised, client-centred and evidence-based treatment plans and programs to enable clients to achieve their health and lifestyle goals
  • Liaise with the clients and the funding organisation to discuss assessed needs promptly, including report preparation where required
  • Liaise with families, specialist services and other stakeholders as appropriate
  • Punctuality with all scheduled appointments

To be Considered

  • Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Current working rights in Australia
  • Certificate of currency for Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate
  • Current Australian Police Check.
