The Role

  • Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient site
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site deliveries to meet program milestones
  • Manage day-to-day site activities to ensure works are completed to the required quality, safety, and timeline standards
  • Assist with short-term programming and look-aheads, anticipating and resolving potential blockers early
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Site Manager and broader project team
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders including trades, consultants, and internal team members
  • Drive site safety compliance, including leading toolbox talks, conducting site inductions, and monitoring safe work practices

The Person

  • Qualified Carpenter with demonstrated experience across commercial and/or industrial construction
  • Solid technical understanding of building codes, standards, and construction methodologies
  • Proven ability to supervise trades across the full project lifecycle, ensuring work aligns with program, quality, and safety benchmarks
  • Confident in scheduling, coordinating, and managing daily site activities under direction of the Site Manager
  • Experience managing key site targets across quality, safety, cost, and program
  • Familiar with subcontractor workflows, sequencing, and proactive issue resolution on live sites
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to fostering a positive, accountable site culture
  • Collaborative and approachable, able to build productive relationships across site teams, clients, and consultants
  • Exposure to Hammertech desirable, not essential
