About this Position
We're seeking a full-time collaborative Payroll and Shared Services Officer to join our team, supporting both Visit Victoria and the Melbourne Convention Bureau. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll and finance team member who thrives in dynamic, people-facing environments.
The Shared Services team is responsible for the delivery of payroll services, accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit card reconciliations. As a Payroll and Shared Services Officer, you'll play a crucial role in delivering end-to-end payroll services, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing while supporting continuous improvement across the shared services operations.
About you
Our ideal candidate is a team player, agile, enthusiastic and has great attention to detail. You have a sound knowledge of payroll and employment related Australian Taxation Office requirements, Enterprise Agreement interpretation, worker's compensation legislation, superannuation legislation and fund administration. With high level administration, financial and organisational skills you are comfortable navigating complex and dynamic situations and providing clarity to stakeholders. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are detail-focused, and always looking for ways to improve processes and add value.
You will bring:
- Knowledge of Employment Agreement interpretation, payroll and employment related Australian Taxation Office requirements, worker's compensation legislation, superannuation legislation and fund administration.
- Ability to exercise initiative, discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- High level administrative, financial and organisational skills.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
- Ability to organise work efficiently and to operate effectively in an environment characterised by short timeframes.
