We're seeking a proactive and customer-focused Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer to join our client's Brisbane-based team on a 12-month full-time onsite contract. This role is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of experience in IT support who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving technical challenges face-to-face and over the phone. You'll be supporting a user base of 250 employees, ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems, devices, and core infrastructure.
Your day at NTT
- Provide 1st level support via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
- Troubleshoot desktop, hardware, email, and Windows OS issues across various devices
- Perform system imaging and setup for new hires and hardware replacements
- Create and manage user accounts, including onboarding and offboarding activities
- Liaise with external vendors for hardware/software queries and issue resolution
- Administer IT systems including telephony, security, printer servers, and CMMS under guidance of the IT Manager
What would make you a good fit for this role?
- Proven experience delivering 1st level support in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft technology stack (M365, MS Teams)
- Hands-on experience with SOE imaging and hardware setup
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking (LAN/WAN/VOIP)
- Ability to troubleshoot email servers, file and print services, and remote tools like TeamViewer
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a service-oriented mindset
