Your Opportunity

Plena Healthcare is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist, based in Brisbane to join our Queensland team of mobile clinicians, servicing North Brisbane/Sunshine coast. This part time role focuses on dysphagia and communication assessments and interventions for adults living in residential aged care.

Whether you are a Recent graduate or an experienced clinician, we offer an engaging, flexible, and supportive environment where your expertise will make a real impact on clients living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke complications, progressive neurological conditions, and age-related decline.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage your own calendar of appointments with the flexibility to choose work hours and locations
  • Assess and diagnose swallowing and communication difficulties
  • Deliver in-person and telehealth-based interventions
  • Collaborate with your state-based Speech Pathology Team Leader and a close-knit national team
  • Travel opportunities to support clients in regional locations (optional)
  • Advocate for clients' communication needs
  • Provide consultation, education, and support to clients, families, and care teams
  • Liaise with support coordinators and colleagues to ensure comprehensive care

What You'll Need

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport
  • Passion for working with older adults and individuals with complex needs
