About the Roles

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Pathologist within CALHN's specialised rehabilitation services. Temporary vacancies are available across the Brain Injury Inpatient Rehab Unit (BIRU), Community and Home (BIRCH North) and Spinal Injury Rehab, with the flexibility to work in one or a combination of these areas. Inpatient contracts run until July 2026 and ambulatory until December 2026, with roles open at both AHP1 and AHP2 levels—perfect for building your expertise or contributing as an experienced clinician.

As part of a passionate interdisciplinary team, you'll make a real difference by helping people with complex brain and spinal injuries reach their full potential for independence and quality of life. About You

You're a dedicated and motivated Speech Pathologist who is passionate about supporting people with complex needs to achieve their best outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Relevant qualifications and eligibility for full membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, therapy and client-centred care, with the ability to apply sound professional judgement to a range of situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work sensitively with clients, carers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • A commitment to growth and quality, demonstrated through evidence-based practice, accurate documentation, ongoing professional development and contribution to service improvement.
