Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist looking for a rewarding opportunity in a picturesque rural setting? The Speech Project is seeking a qualified Speech Pathologist to join our team in the Riverland region of South Australia. Start date is negotiable.

About Us: At The Speech Project, we are committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based speech pathology services to individuals of aged 3 – 18 years old in the Riverland community. Our services include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of communication difficulties, focusing on speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language, literacy, play and social skills. We also provide support and education to families, caregivers, and educators to help them better understand and support individuals with communication difficulties.

The Role: As a Speech Pathologist with The Speech Project, you will work with a diverse range of clients, aged 3 – 18 years old. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit community and is excited about making a difference in the lives of people in rural South Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Provide tailored therapy plans for clients, with a focus on achieving meaningful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other health professionals to ensure the best possible support for clients.
  • Conduct school, home and community-based sessions as required.
  • Offer support and education to clients and their families to improve communication and quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate client records and progress notes.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Full accreditation with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
  • A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • The ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and contribute to a team environment.
  • Valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC).
  • A current driver's license and access to reliable transport for rural visits.
