We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (AO6) to join the Queensland Tissue Bank (QTB), based at Coopers Plains. This temporary full-time opportunity (until June 2026) will lead business development, customer engagement and strategic growth activities supporting the continuous improvement and expansion of QTB's services across Queensland and beyond.

Your new role:

As Business Development Manager, you'll manage client relationships, market engagement and service improvement initiatives to support QTB's commercial operations. You'll play a vital role in strengthening customer partnerships, identifying new opportunities and ensuring a high-quality, client-focused experience across all business functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coordinate business development, client engagement and marketing initiatives in alignment with QTB's strategic plan.
  • Provide advice and reporting to support organisational goals and service delivery.
  • Develop, maintain and grow stakeholder relationships across hospitals, research institutions and industry partners.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy and product development.
  • Oversee the ordering, dispatch and communication functions to ensure efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, submissions and grant funding initiatives.

About you:

You're a dynamic and strategic professional with a passion for healthcare innovation, stakeholder engagement and business growth. You bring leadership experience, commercial awareness and strong communication skills, with the ability to manage complex partnerships and projects.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in business development, client engagement or service growth within health or research sectors.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and resources in complex service environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge (or the ability to acquire knowledge) of tissue banking, therapeutic products, or health regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate and implement new business and revenue opportunities.
