The Role

Oversee the finance function and provide strategic advice to senior leadership as a trusted advisor. Lead a small team while ensuring strong financial reporting and compliance, driving efficiency through systems, processes, and analysis. Play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, guiding commercial decisions, and supporting long-term planning.

Duties

  • Oversee financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, cashflow, and audits
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, accounting standards, and risk management
  • Drive process improvements, digital transformation, and optimise financial systems
  • Provide analysis on business performance, profitability, ROI, and cost optimisation
  • Prepare and present reports and insights to board and senior leadership
  • Partner with senior leadership on commercial strategy and investment decisions
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance team building accountability and improvement culture
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

Skills & experience

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Economics
  • Professional qualification (CA, CPA, CFA, or CMA)
  • Strong leadership experience in senior finance roles
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, compliance, and reporting
  • Experience with ERP/financial systems and digital transformation
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present to boards and non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive, strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to influence, guide, and partner with executive leadership
