As we expand our commercial lending capability, we are seeking a driven Commercial Credit Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in building meaningful client relationships, driving sustainable lending practices, and shaping the future of our business.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created role where you'll partner with brokers, referrers, and internal stakeholders to ensure sustainable lending practices in our commercial lending space. Reporting directly to the Head of Credit, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping strategy and execution across our growing commercial credit function. You will bring specialist insight into complex commercial transactions, evaluate new business opportunities, and help establish Finance One's position in the market.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Director, Head of Credit, National Sales Manager, and internal legal and compliance teams to structure deals that balance growth with risk.
  • Conduct analysis of financial statements, interpreting tax returns, , and cash flow reports to support informed credit decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, brokers, accountants, and referrers, ensuring a seamless and professional client experience throughout the credit process.
  • Represent Finance One's brand with professionalism and adaptability across diverse client scenarios, always keeping the client's best interests at the forefront.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform product positioning, commercial strategy, and growth opportunities.
  • Take ownership of a newly created and high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence lending outcomes and contribute to the strategic expansion of Finance One's commercial offering.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in commercial credit or lending assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, business structures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or related field (highly regarded).
  • Strong capability in understanding complex credit transactions .
  • Proven ability to interpret and analyse complex financial and tax documents.
  • Commercially astute, with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership in an evolving role.
