Work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on a large-scale bulk earthworks projects amongst others.

Our client is a well-established tier 3 civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated
Project Manager
to join their growing business.

Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as subdivisions, data centres, government projects , defence projects, etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a challenging projects.

Types of projects include demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $4.5m - $30m

You'll be based out of their office in Sydney 50% of the time and will be expected to travel and be present on site the other 50% of the time.

Projects are in near Newcastle, Canberra, Byron, and other locations.

Our client will sponsor for the right person.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working on tenders
  • Planning and scheduling of construction activities
  • Management of site project teams
  • Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
  • Preparation of management reports
  • Resolving site issues in a timely manner
  • Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Business development
  • Recruitment and mentoring of teams

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
  • 10 – 15+ years' experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $30m+
  • Project management qualifications will be advantageous
  • Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
  • Effective problem solving abilities
  • Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
