About the role

Arcwood Building PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team based from Penrith, NSW 2750. This full-time position is an integral part of our carpentry and building operations, contributing to the successful delivery of residential and commercial construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Read and interpret building plans to accurately complete tasks
  • Construct a variety of projects including extensions, renovations and decks
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to carry out carpentry tasks with efficiency and precision
  • Ensure that work is completed to the highest standard, adhering to building codes and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate timely and seamless project delivery
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

  • Current white card (Construction induction training) certification
  • Formal qualification in carpentry , such as a Certificate III in Carpentry
  • Excellent knowledge of building materials, tools, methods and safety procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors and colleagues
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
