About the role

As a Finishes Foreman Remedial, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the delivery of high-quality finishes on Renfay Projects' construction sites. This is a full-time position based in Strathfield, NSW. You will be responsible for supervising a team of skilled tradespersons to ensure the successful completion of remedial works on existing buildings.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate and oversee the work of a team of tradespeople, including carpenters, plasterers, painters, and tilers, to deliver high-quality finishes
  • Ensure work is completed to the required standards, on time and within budget
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and communicate progress
  • Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project, using your problem-solving skills
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the project
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to the team to help them develop their skills and capabilities
  • Promote a safe and productive work environment on site

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Finishes Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry
  • Excellent knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and building regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges on site
  • Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
