About the role
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter / Cabinet Maker / Shopfitter / vinyl floor layer to join our team at Barrett Building Solutions Pty Ltd. This full-time role will involve a diverse range of carpentry and cabinet making duties, contributing to the delivery of high-quality maintenance, de-fits and refurbishment projects.
What the role entails
- Carry out precise measurements, mark-ups and cutting of materials
- Perform on-site maintenance & repairs to a wide range of tasks varying job to job and day to day
- Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications
- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following all health and safety protocols
What we're looking for
- Qualified carpenter / cabinet maker / vinyl floor layer with a relevant trade qualification or at least 5 years experience
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
