Role Purpose:

To perform professional installation of roller shutters, blinds, roller shutters, outdoor blinds, plantation shutters, security screens, and related products from Kings Roller Shutters and Property Kidd. Ensure installations are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard, with great attention to fit, finish, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite measurements, preparations, and planning for installations, ensuring accurate fit and clarity on job specifications.
  • Install a wide range of shutter and blind systems (roller shutters, wind-lock shutters, outdoor blinds, plantation shutters, etc.), including heavy and cyclone-rated systems.
  • Handle installation of security screens, door/window systems, and assist with shutter repairs when needed.
  • Ensure all installations meet safety, regulatory and company quality standards.
  • Use the correct tools and equipment; ensure all machinery is maintained.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for delivery schedules, parts, and accessories.
  • Communicate effectively with customers: clarify installation details, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain clean, safe work sites; ensure minimal disruption and leave sites tidy.
  • Complete all administrative and reporting tasks (job documentation, time sheets, incident reports, etc.).

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 years hands-on experience installing roller shutters, blinds, and associated systems is ideal.
  • Proven experience working with both Kings Roller Shutters and Property Kidd product lines, or equivalent quality brands.
  • Familiarity with heavier duty systems (e.g. cyclone rated, wind-lock shutters) and outdoor installations.
  • Strong understanding of mounting, fixing, sealing, and finishing work needed to ensure weather-proofing, durability and safety.
  • Competent with power tools, mechanical tools, measurement tools; attention to detail is a must.
  • Good physical fitness; able to lift and maneuver materials, climb ladders, work at heights.
  • Valid driver's licence; willing to travel locally / regionally as required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; able to explain installation steps, manage expectations.
  • Safety-focused; knowledge of relevant building codes, WHS regulations, etc.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Trade certificate or relevant accreditation in carpentry, metal work, construction, or window/door installations.
  • Experience in repair work as well as new installs.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Own tools and equipment a plus.
