About Us

XCircle Pty Ltd is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to support both our sheet metal manufacturing operations and our modular critical infrastructure business unit. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong CAD skills, and a focus on producing high-quality, manufacturable designs. The role is based at our company premises, and the successful applicant will be required to perform their duties onsite during standard working hours.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare high-quality 2D and 3D CAD models and fabrication drawings (Inventor preferred)
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflows, product quality, and timely delivery
  • Work onsite with mechanical engineers, trades personnel, and project managers to validate design intent through precise confirmation of dimensions, tolerances and overall feasibility
  • Perform site survey and measurement
  • Attend site meetings and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with standards and project requirements
  • Maintain BOMs, revisions, and documentation integrity
  • Contribute to process improvements across design and manufacturing workflows

Ideal Candidate

  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Drafting
  • Advanced proficiency in Inventor (SolidWorks/AutoCAD also beneficial)
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes
  • 3+ years' drafting experience in engineering or manufacturing
  • Experience in critical infrastructure design and drafting (preferred)
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Competent English
