Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Hi Thrive Full time $104,000 - $156,000 per year

Company Description

Hi Thrive is a mobile paediatric allied health service based in Melbourne, VIC, and we're all about bringing the therapy to you—literally. We provide neurodiversity-affirming support to children, delivering therapy right to their homes. Our mission? To help families and children embrace their strengths and differences, living their best, most authentic lives.

Role Description

We're on the lookout for a talented Speech Pathologist to join the Hi Thrive family as a contractor. You'll be the kind of person who can make therapy sessions feel like playdates (with a clinical twist), conducting assessments and delivering therapy all while bringing a bit of fun to the process. This role offers flexibility with the option for some remote work because we know work-life balance isn't just a myth

What We Can Offer You

• Paediatric caseload (ages 2-14 years) with a mix of private and NDIS clients in Melbourne

• Earn up to 70% of the NDIS billable rate—hello, $135 per hour

• Superannuation paid at 12% (we've got your back and your future)

• Flexibility to choose your own hours and number of clients per day—work whenever and wherever suits you best

• Freedom to choose your own caseload. Dysphagia out of your comfort zone? No problem. You get to curate your own client list based on what you know you do best. We want you to thrive as much as the kids.

• Admin support for billing—so you can focus on what you do best: changing lives, not chasing invoices

• Access to a supportive hub of multidisciplinary allied health therapists (speech pathologists and OTs) for moral support and collaborative clinical problem-solving—because we all know teamwork makes the dream work

Who This Role is Perfect For

  1. A speech pathologist looking to dip their toe into the contracting world for a day or two a week—no pressure, just a chance to explore and grow.

  2. An established sole trader who's tired of feeling isolated and bogged down by admin and invoice chasing. If you're ready to focus on the clinical work you love while enjoying team vibes (with zero compromise on your independence), this is your kind of role.

We're a neurodivergent-led team (yep, we practice what we preach), and we absolutely welcome neurodivergent therapists to join us. We know that your unique strengths and perspectives are pure gold, and we're all about creating a supportive, inclusive environment where you can thrive just as much as our clients do.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Speech Therapy and all things speech-related (you know, the important stuff)

• Membership with Speech Pathology Australia

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills (bonus points if you can spot a superpower in every child)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—because teamwork and empathy make the dream work

• Ability to work independently but also bring the good energy to our growing little community of therapists

• A drivers license will most definitely come in handy

If this sounds like your kind of role, we'd love to hear from you. Come join us in creating an environment where every child can thrive, one giggle-filled session at a time
