The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the on-site delivery of a new 5MW solar farm. This role requires proven experience supervising mid-scale solar projects with HV electrical connections, underground civil works, DC systems, and single-axis tracker installations.

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on leadership skills, and the ability to manage daily site activities while ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSEQ) requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day site activities across civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to meet project milestones.
  • Oversee HV electrical installation, DC cabling works, and tracker system assembly.
  • Monitor underground civil works including trenching, conduit installation, and reinstatement.
  • Implement and maintain on-site HSEQ systems in compliance with WHS legislation and project standards.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety inspections.
  • Ensure works meet Australian Standards, project specifications, and quality control processes.
  • Assist with HV testing, commissioning, and energisation activities.
  • Maintain accurate site records, QA/QC documentation, and progress reporting.

About You

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years' site supervision experience on mid-utility-scale solar farm projects.

  • Background in electrical works, underground civil construction, DC installations, and tracker systems.
  • Proven ability to manage on-site Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems.

  • Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of HV switching, commissioning, and electrical safety rules.

  • Familiarity with single-axis tracker installation and large scale DC cable management.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

  • Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Electrical Licence.

  • ForkLift Licence.
  • Telehandler Licence.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Trade qualification in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical discipline.
  • HV Switching Accreditation.
  • Current White Card and relevant WHS training.
