About the role:
We are currently seeking highly a motivated Packaging Supervisor to join our Merbein Packaging Team on a full- time permanent basis. Reporting to the Packaging Coordinator, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all standard line productivity and bottling quality standards are achieved.
Key responsibilities will also include:
- Monitor and supervise line personnel
- Provide support with personnel training requirements
- Management of line machinery in order to meet production targets
- Review production processes, advise and implement improved manufacturing processes
- Initiate production or supplier non-conformances and complete/collate relevant paperwork
- Resolve line and production issues as they arise and collaborate with other team members
- Supervise the startup and shutdown and sterilization of production line equipment daily
- Prepare packaging lines with operator assistance for a production run using mechanical & computer systems required on each shift including De-palletising area / Rinser, Filler, Corker, Filtration and Sterilisation, Labelling, Packer and Palletiser areas.
- Building strong relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Merbein packaging site.

The successful candidate will bring their previous production experience, mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail. You will enjoy working in a positive culture and bring your strong work ethic to the team. Your exposure to quality, work health and safety and hygiene practices will support you to drive the success of the Production Team.
You will have a strong focus on Health & Safety standards and be committed to ensuring continuous improvement and adherence in this area. With strong, demonstrated capabilities in troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision making, this opportunity will see you take your career to the next level as a leader.
Given the nature of the operation, overtime and rotating D-N-A shift work will be required. Physical capabilities to perform the inherent duties of the role are; frequently standing and walking; frequently using fine motor hand skills; stretching, twisting and reaching with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or occasionally crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 kg, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 kg, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 kg. The candidate must have the ability to interpret verbal and written instruction.

- Previous Experience: The successful candidate will have previously experience working in a supervisory capacity. Experience in a Fast Moving production environment is desirable.
