Service Team Specialist (administration assistant)
This is a great opportunity to join our growing team and will suit someone with previous administration, sales or customer service experience and who is looking to build skills to further their career development in a fast-paced corporate environment. You will be provided with training and guidance and play a pivotal role supporting our Underwriting and Policy Operations teams nationally. You should possess exceptional attention to detail, be a great team player with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation. If you have excellent organisational skills, a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, are a motivated, proactive and professional individual who is able to deliver tasks according to agreed timelines, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of HDI Global.
This a 12 month fixed term, full-time role based in our modern Sydney CBD (Martin Place) Head office.
Duties will include (but not limited to)
- Processing premium entries into our insurance systems, issuing premium certificates and renewal letters as required for specific lines of business;
- Liaising and supporting the credit control department regarding the collection of outstanding debtors;
- Managing all data in the Policy Operations Electronic systems and the lapsed file archive;
- Provide the finance department relevant documentation for APRA;
- Ensuring the accuracy of documentation for internal stakeholders while adhering to company procedures and guidelines;
- Assisting the team with a variety of ad hoc administrative tasks in an evolving and growing administration and support function;
- Seeking opportunities to improve internal business processes;
- Applying best business practice in all activities ethically, professionally and with high-level of integrity.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to manage competing priorities by having excellent time management skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including managing key internal stakeholders;
- Good problem solving skills;
- Positive attitude, with a desire to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Proven ability to learn, and work well with, various technology tools and databases;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders;
- Strong attention to detail and able to process data accurately and efficiently;
- Able to add value with any process improvement ideas and the execution of these ideas in close cooperation with the team and key stakeholders.
Desirable
- Previous work in Insurance or Financial Services industry.
