Disability Support Worker

Location: Albury

About the Role

Mars Hill Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to a client. The ideal candidate will be passionate about empowering individuals to live independently and participate meaningfully in their community.

This role involves assisting the client with daily living activities, providing transport to appointments, supporting participation in social and recreational outings, and helping maintain an active and fulfilling lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver respectful, person-centred support tailored to the client's individual needs and goals
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household duties (as required)
  • Accompany and transport the client to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings
  • Encourage independence, engagement, and social connection
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes and documentation
  • Uphold the client's safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times

Requirements

  • Current and valid driver's licence, with access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Experience in disability support or community services (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude
