Do you have the skills and drive to be a senior leader in a rapidly growing organisation? But looking for a role where you're valued, and purpose meets profit to achieve better outcomes for our community? An exciting opportunity has arisen with Growlife Medical for a passionate and driven senior leader. We are looking for someone who wants a stimulating role, and aspires to grow a high functioning team.

Growlife Medical is a clinician-owned profit-for-purpose primary care group delivering exceptional healthcare outcomes, with five thriving clinics and a Medicare-funded urgent care clinic. We combine innovation and technology with the warmth of long-term family medicine and believe that by putting our community first, we will continue to grow a profitable business that will ultimately change healthcare outcomes throughout Australia.

The General Manager – Operations and Quality role leads operational excellence and drives the performance of the team. You will be responsible for driving business growth and profitability, whilst streamlining systems to improve patient and clinician experience.

Reporting to the Managing Director, and working closely with the management team, this role is a senior leadership position with a high level of autonomy.

Growlife Medical was founded in 2016, and has grown rapidly with a strong reputation in early life care, and is now a national leader in General Practice, as the current RACGP Australian General Practice of the year. You will be a key leader within Growlife Medical.

Your impact

  • Translate strategy into action, assessing future clinics and expansion options to ensure our services remain patient-centred and financially strong.

  • Lead our raise-train-sustain program to strengthen systems, develop future leaders, build highly effective teams and lead our clinician placement programs (registrars, medical students, nursing and allied health).

  • Drive AI and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and patient care.

  • Oversee education, quality, accreditation and culture, embedding Growlife's values every day.

  • Provide governance and reporting to the Managing Director, ensuring achievement of key growth, financial, quality and engagement metrics.

You bring

  • A degree in law, finance, accounting, business or related field. Healthcare management qualifications highly regarded.

  • Extensive senior operations and multi-site healthcare leadership experience.

  • Proven success in quality improvement (including RACGP accreditation), team leadership and mentoring future leaders.

  • A passion for innovation and the possibilities of AI in healthcare.

  • Exceptional skills in listening and building consensus

  • An agile mind to contribute to improved healthcare outcomes through the use of business acumen.

  • A proactive, forward-thinking approach, and thrive in a changing environment by always being a step ahead

  • Enjoyment in working autonomously, and turning vision into reality

  • An advanced ability to attract new talent, build the team and support individuals

  • Excellence in building trust and encouraging productive debate

  • The capability to draw together a broad array of clinical and administrative ideas into clear and cohesive execution

  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibility for multi-million dollar operations
  • An unrestricted right to work in Australia

Why Growlife?

  • A values-driven, collaborative culture.

  • Flexible work arrangements and professional development support.

  • The chance to shape primary care at scale and to grow Australia's healthiest communities.

  • Competitive total remuneration with potential performance incentives.
