Trades Assistant

**The Opportunity**:
An exciting opportunity is available for a **Trades Assistant **to join the Training team. Reporting into the National Training Manager, the Trades Assistant will be responsible for driving our 21-seater bus to provide transport to and from Sherwood & Brisbane Airport and ensuring a high level of confidentiality and cleanliness at all times.

This role is ideal for an all-rounder that holds an MR licence who can take ownership and has the initiative to do what’s needed to be done around and in the training facility, ranging from sweeping floors, general tidiness, supervising apprentices under the guidance of the Senior Trainer, moving construction sized Dozers and excavators for training purposes to arranging quotes for training aids.

**Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Must hold a MR licence
- Must hold a LO licence
- Be physically fit
- Basic Microsoft Office understanding
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Have a positive attitude who takes pride in their work
- Previous mechanical, welding and fabricating skills highly regarded
- Past trade experience would be desirable
