
Clinical/Educator Nurse

The Clinical/Educator Nurse ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality care in line with NDIS requirements. This role oversees care plan reviews, staff clinical training, and compliance with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities
Care Planning & Review
- Develop, review, and update participant care plans to ensure they meet individual needs and NDIS standards.
- Ensure care plans include all necessary medical and support information (e.g., seizure management, PEG feeding, medication administration).
- Liaise with families, allied health professionals, and coordinators to keep care plans accurate and current.
Training & Education
- Provide clinical training to support workers on participant-specific care requirements.
- Sign off on training competencies, including authorising designated trainers to deliver ongoing training.
- Maintain training records to support compliance with NDIS and internal policies.
Clinical Support & On-Call Assistance
- Provide on-call clinical advice and guidance to staff as required.
- Respond to complex participant care situations and assist with incident follow-up.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Work with the Operations & Compliance Manager to ensure policies, procedures, and clinical practices meet NDIS Practice Standards.
- Assist with internal audits, incident reviews, and continuous improvement processes.
- Liaise with The Castle and Respite Coordinators, Staff Development and Client Liaison Manager to ensure service delivery meets best practice.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in disability, community care, or similar healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
- Strong communication, training, and mentoring skills.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current driver's licence.

Pay: $57,276.98 – $108,966.08 per year
