Role and Responsibilities

As a Nurse Educator – Aged Care Transition Program, the position is responsible for administering, delivering, and continuously improving the Aged Care Transition to Practice Program, ensuring effective teaching and learner support.

Additional responsibilities within the professional development team may include facilitating professional development courses. Key responsibilities include developing new learning content, maintaining and updating existing resources, tutoring and mentoring students, and overseeing both student progress and overall course administration to ensure high-quality educational outcomes.

Selection Criteria
  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the NMBA.
  • A Post Graduate qualification in an area deemed relevant by ACN or working towards the same.
  • A minimum of four years\' recent clinical experience in aged care, with a strong understanding of contemporary aged care practices, legislation, and quality standards.
  • Experience in teaching including educational planning, programming and evaluation, especially for online learning.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems and virtual delivery platforms.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.

Please note: This is a temporary, full-time role with a contract duration of 18 months.
