About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for standardising training requirements, providing a clear and centralised framework for managing both mandatory and non-mandatory training. This includes the recording, reporting, tracking, and monitoring of training activities—ensuring a consistent and streamlined approach across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage the City's training and compliance processes to ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures that standardise training, clarify accountability, and support organisation-wide compliance.
- Identify current and future compliance training needs in collaboration with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the implementation of Key Performance Indicators and monitor compliance performance at both organisational and service levels.
- Optimise the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) as a central platform for recording, tracking, and reporting training compliance.
- Create and deliver compliance reports and actively promote training opportunities across the organisation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with people leaders, stakeholders, and external bodies to support capability development and training outcomes
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a Post graduate degree in Human Resources Management, Education or relevant discipline, or significant or extensive specialist experience.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience managing organisational training compliance, including the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), and the development of related policies and procedures.
- Skilled in conducting training needs analyses and developing training plans.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting to senior leadership.
- Ability to interpret and apply policy and legislation in operational and practical contexts.
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to implementing solutions.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems.
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
