Quality, Risk and Compliance Officer

The Quality, Risk and Compliance Officer will support the development, implementation and maintenance of an improved culture of Quality, Risk and Compliance in all areas of service delivery at Cultura.
This newly created role will assist in the coordination of quality, risk and compliance activities by partnering with Managers and subject matter experts to ensure service delivery accountability across Cultura programs and our services.
With assistance from the Manager Quality, Risk and Compliance, this position provides support on the quality assurance, legislative, and contractual compliance requirements in the delivery of Aged Care, Home Services, Healthy Living and Settlement Services and Community Support.
This role will be part of a small but dynamic wider Cultura Quality Implementation Team and the Manager Quality Risk and Compliance, and collaboration with Coordinators across the organisation as well as other key stakeholders, (both internal and external) is required.
This position will be contracted on a permanent full time basis or part time basis, depending on the availabilities of the successful candidate.
Duties- Provide support on quality, risk and compliance matters across Cultura and its locations, working with Managers and subject matter experts to proactively identify service delivery quality, risk and compliance issues in services and assist with mitigation actions
- With general direction from the Manager Quality, Risk and Compliance, provide support to ensure that current policies, processes and supporting documentation are maintained across locations, in a consistent and user-friendly manner, and reflective of practices
- Assist in assurance and compliance reviews ensuring standards are maintained and internal integrity is preserved, as well as external reporting obligations are met
- Assist the Manager Quality Risk and Compliance, and other Management as necessary, preparing for internal assurance audits and external audits when needed
- Support internal audits as required, and manage internal and external audit action reporting, including progress updates from owners
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in a previous quality and compliance role in a complex, regulatory environment
- Knowledge of, and experience with, internal and external auditing
- Advanced ability to communicate, inform and provide specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders across varying role levels through policy/procedure development or other internal control methodologies
Desirable
- Experience in working with quality standards and quality assurance in a related industry, such as community services or a similar government funded, not for profit organisation
