The Position

Trinity Grammar School is seeking to appoint a visionary and dynamic leader to serve as Head of the Preparatory School, educating boys aged 4-12 years. This is a significant and strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced educator who will oversee all aspects of the Preparatory School's life and operations, including academic leadership, pastoral care, staff development, and the cultivation of a strong and positive organisational culture.

Reporting to the Headmaster, the Head of the Preparatory School plays a vital role in the whole-school leadership team, working in close collaboration with the School Executive to shape and deliver Trinity's mission across all campuses. As such, the role carries particular responsibility for ensuring that the ethos of the School is clearly articulated, consistently enacted, and deeply embedded in the daily life of the Preparatory School.

They will bring strategic vision, educational expertise, and a deep commitment to the holistic development of boys, fostering a learning environment that is both rigorous and nurturing.

The Organisation

Trinity Grammar School is an independent, high-fee, Anglican school for boys in Sydney. With more than 2300 students, the School consists of a secondary campus in Summer Hill, a remote Year 9 campus in the Shoalhaven, and two primary school campuses, being the Junior School in Summer Hill, and the Preparatory School in Strathfield. Trinity Grammar School is a founding member of the International Boys School Coalition and is unequivocally committed to specialising in the education of boys.

The Preparatory School is triple-streamed from P-6 with approximately 550 students. Both the Junior School and the Preparatory School are IB Primary Years Program schools and work closely together in many aspects of curriculum and co-curriculum, whilst maintaining their distinct identities. The Preparatory School participates in Saturday sport through IPSHA, as well as its own internal programs, and has a wide and deep range of co-curricular activities.
