Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney's North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an opportunity for a Religion and Ethics Teacher who will be responsible for teaching programs on World Religion, Philosophy and Ethics teaching stages 4 & 5. The ability to teach stage 6 Studies of Religion classes would be advantageous. This is a Full-time permanent position commencing Term

We seek a teacher who can demonstrate: -

·       A variety of effective teaching strategies to engage students of varying abilities on their path to achieving specific learning outcomes.

·       Experience in the design, production and administration of various types and levels of assessments tasks.

·       Effective student management strategies for all levels of student ability and engagement.

·       Well-developed IT skills for:

(i)Integration into classroom strategies.

(ii)Departmental Teaching and Learning initiatives.

(iii)Departmental administrative requirements.

·       The desire to be a team player in a collegial department with high expectations of its members and of its students.

The successful candidate will have:

·       Qualifications in teaching Religious Education (Studies of Religion is advantageous)

·       Experience teaching Stages 4, 5 & 6.

·       Supportive of the Christian ethos of the Uniting Church.
