Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the General Counsel, you will provide legal support and advice on legal, regulatory and contractual requirements including investment management agreements, broker trading agreements, ISDAs, prime brokerage agreements, marketing documents;
  • Providing legal support and advice to our distribution team including platform agreements, ratings/research agreements, rebate agreements, distribution agreements with Affiliates/third parties;
  • Supporting Pinnacle from a regulatory perspective, advising Pinnacle and its Affiliates on conflicts of interest, related party transactions, financial assistance, AFSL related issues;
  • Participating in key projects as they arise, including offshore fund vehicles, ETFs, reviewing/coordinating preparation of disclosure documents (Prospectus/PDS), coordinate internal due diligence processes, new fund launches and affiliate incubation/acquisition;
  • Supporting and developing key relationships with members of Pinnacle's leadership team;
  • Providing proactive advice and collaborating with internal clients and legal colleagues to implement key strategic and business initiatives;
  • Leading, assisting and/or providing support for company secretary where necessary.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law;
  • Ability to quickly extrapolate key issues and resolve complex problems;
  • Experience in providing legal advice in a major law firm or in-house in funds management;
  • Previous exposure to, or interest in, investment management.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • 7-10 years' experience.
