Summary:
The Sales Development Executive (Rate Management) plays a crucial role in our logistics and supply chain operations, focusing on driving sales growth through effective rate management. This position requires a deep understanding of the International Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage industry, ensuring that our pricing strategies align with market demands and company objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to enhance our sales development process, contributing to the overall success of our business in the AU/NZ region.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the sales development process in line with the IOPs.
- Prepare and provide accurate quotations in response to RFPs, tenders, client tariffs, and spot requests.
- Ensure quotation pricing aligns with set margin targets.
- Liaise with business stakeholders to validate service requirements and cost elements.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure optimal buy rates are received.
- Maintain and update the CRM with required data, in line with KPIs.
- Utilize and maintain sales technologies to effectively track interactions.
- Recommend continuous improvement opportunities for sales development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the International Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage industry.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the last 2 years.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
