Part-Time Assistant – General Plastic Ballarat

Location: Ballarat, VIC

Hours: Part-time (2–3 days per week)

We're looking for a hands-on, reliable, and detail-oriented person to join our team at General Plastic Ballarat. If you enjoy practical work, learning new skills, and being part of a small, supportive team — this could be the perfect role for you

About the Role

You'll assist with day-to-day workshop tasks, helping with cutting, finishing, and preparing plastic materials for production and customer orders. Training will be provided on our machines and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools to prepare and finish plastic products
  • Assist with machine operation (CNC router, laser cutter – training provided)
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Follow instructions and production schedules
  • Support team members with general workshop duties

Skills & Experience

  • Experience using hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail and precision
  • Forklift licence (preferred)
  • CNC router and/or laser cutting experience (preferred but not required)
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
