Role: Data & Analytics Lead
Location: Melbourne
Engagement Type: 6-month contract (initially), with potential extension
Role Description
DataAIT Technologies is seeking a Data & Analytics Lead to support a high-impact data program. The role involves designing and implementing a modern Data & Analytics Ecosystem, ensuring data quality, governance, and accessibility, and enabling teams to make data-driven decisions. This engagement provides exposure to complex data initiatives and advanced analytics practices in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Strategy & Architecture
- Define and implement target-state data platforms, models, and engineering practices to support a data-driven organization.
- Establish scalable, secure, and interoperable data architectures and governance frameworks, including data ownership, stewardship, and change management.
- Promote adoption of best practices in data management, analytics, and reporting across teams.
Data Migration & Quality Management
- Lead end-to-end data migration, including requirements analysis, source identification, data cleansing, extraction, and transformation.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, integrity, and security throughout migration and integration processes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to embed a strong data culture and enable self-service analytics.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to harmonize data practices, drive adoption, and maximize business value.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI, cloud, and automation, to enhance data capabilities and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Continuously refine processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize the analytics ecosystem and drive business impact.
Qualification:
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in Data, Technology, or a related field.
Experience & Technical Skills:
- Proven experience leading large-scale data programs or initiatives.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), modern data architectures, and data governance.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in complex, ambiguous environments.
- Experience managing stakeholders across multiple functions, geographies, and seniority levels.
- Track record of delivering measurable outcomes through data-driven initiatives.
