Our clients are seeking an experienced Safety & Training Coordinators to join their underground mining operations in Western Australia. This is a FIFO role on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position.

About the Role

As the Safety & Training Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring safe work practices, developing workforce capability, and supporting continuous improvement in safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess competency-based training and Verification of Competency (VOC) for underground mining roles.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship on the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Conduct workplace, plant, and equipment inspections, audits, and safe work observations.
  • Facilitate health and safety communications and support ongoing education initiatives.
  • Lead site inductions for employees and contractors.
  • Manage health and safety reporting and administrative tasks.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in safety and training roles (underground mining experience highly regarded).
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • ICAM Lead Investigator accreditation.
  • Strong understanding of underground mining operations and risk management.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.
