Health Safety & Training Manager

We are seeking an experienced Health Safety & Training Manager to lead and drive our commitment to safety, health, and environmental excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for continuously improving our existing HSE management system, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture within our organisation. Based predominately from Perth (SOR) this role, will also involve frequent site travel across regional WA.

Your Impact:

  • Refine our foundation: You will review and update our existing HSE policies and procedures to ensure they're robust, practical, and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of safety: You'll mentor our site-based HSE professionals and develop engaging training programs that empower everyone to make safe choices.
  • Drive results: You'll develop and deliver a monthly HSE report to senior business leaders, highlighting key performance metrics and recommending strategic improvements.
  • Be the expert: You'll ensure our operations meet ISO, client, and all relevant environmental standards.
  • Build relationships: You'll work closely with various departments and travel regularly to our Pilbara mine sites to provide hands-on support and build strong stakeholder relationships.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum tertiary qualification in WHS.
  • 5+ years of senior HSE leadership experience, with a background in the mining or construction sectors being a major plus.
  • A valid WA Driver's Licence.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, injury management, and workers' compensation.
  • The ability to lead and influence others, with a track record of developing effective safety audit standards and training programs.
  • Experience in coordinating risk assessment workshops and leading incident reporting processes.
