With operations in Australia and the United States, Metallium is pioneering the global commercialisation of Flash Joule Heating (FJH), a revolutionary technology that extracts critical metals from e-waste, recycled batteries and mine residue - faster, cleaner, and at lower cost than traditional methods, delivering major cost and sustainability advantages.

As our business rapidly scales, we are currently looking for a sharp, energetic and commercially minded Business Analyst to help drive performance and visibility across our Australian and US operations.

With our first US demonstration plant about to go live through our subsidiary Flash Metals USA Inc, this is a pivotal moment to join a team that's redefining sustainable metals recovery and circular manufacturing.

The Position

Working closely with the VP Operational Excellence & Delivery and senior leadership team, you will:

  • Build and maintain dynamic financial and operational models across multi-country projects.
  • Analyse data and develop insights that improve decision-making, performance, and capital efficiency.
  • Develop Excel, Power BI dashboards and visual analytics to communicate business performance and trends.
  • Partner with operations, finance, and commercial teams to evaluate investments, partnerships, and strategic options.
  • Support the commissioning and ramp-up of Metallium's first US demonstration plant, providing key insights into throughput, yield, and cost drivers.
  • Support with growth and decision-making through executive level reporting and proposals

About you

This is an ideal role for an ex-consultant or early-career finance professional who wants to step from advisory into industry and play a hands-on role in building a global success story.

To be successful you should:

  • Have 2+ years in consulting, corporate finance, analytics or commercial project environment
  • Have strong Excel, financial modelling and Power BI or similar analytical software capability with an ability to build dynamic, data-driven models.

  • Have strong experience in executive level storytelling and report writing using industry tools

  • Have strong communication, problem-solving, and process-mapping skills.
  • Be commercially astute with a solid understanding of business performance metrics.

  • Hold a degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Data Analytics, Engineering or related discipline

  • Be intellectually curious, comfortable working across diverse functions, and a self-starter who thrives in agile, fast-moving environments
