BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & ACCOUNT MANAGER – B2B SALES / ACCOUNT GROWTH / TENDER WRITING / SAAS / GOVERNMENT CLIENTS

  • Proven experience in business development and account management (SaaS or government clients ideal)
  • Track record in tender writing and winning new business
  • Salary: $100K - $160K + Super + Performance Bonuses
  • Hybrid role: Canberra HQ, 3–4 days in-office

With a strong user base across both government and enterprise, and over 15 years of expertise, the company is scaling rapidly and seeking a commercially minded Business Development & Account Manager to help drive growth and strengthen client relationships.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

This is a dual role across
new business development
and
account growth
:

  • Lead prospecting efforts, deliver engaging product demos, and write compelling tenders/proposals
  • Manage and expand existing accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Partner with product and delivery teams to ensure client success
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and client engagement activities
  • Drive marketing initiatives to support sales campaigns and pipeline growth
  • Monitor client satisfaction, proactively manage risks, and enhance retention rates
  • Contribute to improving sales and customer success processes for scalability

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…..

  • Proven sales and account management track record (ideally in SaaS or government-focused sectors)
  • Experience writing tenders/proposals that convert to new business
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (confident in client-facing demos)
  • Process-driven approach to managing sales cycles and account development
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and nurture long-term partnerships
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot or similar)
  • Baseline Australian Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
