As a
Principal Planning Analyst – Component Campaign
, you will lead a team of Senior Analysts (Planning Support and Demand & Supply Planning) to support Qantas' Component Campaigns, Charter Flights, Line Stations Planning & Logistics Management, Loans & Borrows, Fly-Away Kits, and Material Sales. The role ensures parts availability and effective supply chain coordination with internal and external stakeholders to prevent any impact on Operational On-Time Performance (OTP) due to insufficient spare parts.

This role is a mix of hands-on supply chain operations and internal/external stakeholder management, requiring strong communication skills, a solid understanding of operational processes to maintain accurate material visibility and support material availability, and sound technical and financial judgement to identify and recommend optimal solutions for the business.

You'll have –

  • Minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience preferably in planning
  • Degree qualified, preferably in engineering, mathematics, science, supply chain or business
  • Extensive experience in supply chain, purchasing, repair management, and inventory optimisation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Solid understanding of planning, procurement, and inventory control principles
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship-building ability with OEMs, repairer and airline partners
  • Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving capability
  • Proficient in SUPPLY, Mx and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Continuous improvement mindset with sound compliance awareness.
