The Centre for Community Child Health (CCCH) at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) is seeking a dedicated and driven
Project Officer
to support the delivery of exciting new and ongoing evaluation and evidence-informed action projects.

About The Role
As part of the Systems Impact (SI) team, you will contribute to innovative projects that adopt a whole-of-system, ecological approach to improving child health, development and wellbeing. Projects may focus on designing and evaluating early childhood services, community-based initiatives, and policy improvements — always with a commitment to equity and real-life impact.

You'll Support a Range Of Activities Including

  • Participatory evaluation and action research
  • Human-centred design and quality improvement
  • Systems thinking and evidence synthesis

Expect to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders — from diverse families to service providers and policymakers.

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Assist with design and delivery of evaluation and action projects
  • Conduct mixed methods research including focus groups, interviews, and surveys
  • Draft high-quality reports and summaries
  • Help design and facilitate project-related workshops and reflection sessions
  • Contribute to ethics applications and approvals (e.g. RISEC)

What We Need From You

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field e.g. Public Health, Evaluation, Psychology, Social Policy, Allied Health.
  • Experience in evaluation and/or research and/or other evidence-informed action methodologies including mixed methods data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting
  • Confident in in project management
  • A proven ability to synthesise and disseminate complex information clearly and concisely
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with experience engaging and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders
