This is a dynamic and multifaceted position, supporting a broad range of projects within the Office of the Dean in the Faculty of Education. Working closely with the Dean, the Faculty Executive Director, and a highly collaborative team, the Project Officer plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Faculty's day-to-day activities. The role requires the ability to balance competing priorities, exercise sound judgement, and engage confidently with stakeholders across and beyond the University. With responsibilities that demand both independence and teamwork, this position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to strategic initiatives whilst working in a supportive and collegial environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing high-level project, administrative, HR, and finance support to the Office of the Dean, including drafting communications, coordinating faculty processes, and offering rotational cover for team members.
Coordinating appointments, academic promotions, performance reviews, mentoring initiatives, and other faculty programs, ensuring timely administration and compliance with requirements.
Supporting executive committees, working groups, and faculty events by preparing documentation, managing logistics, recording outcomes, and maintaining intranet content and communications.
Managing operational resources, including space allocation, procurement, and supplies, while contributing to the effective delivery of strategic portfolios and initiatives.

Working both independently and collaboratively, you show discretion, resilience, and a strong commitment to supporting senior leaders and contributing to the smooth and effective operation of the Faculty.
You will also:
Hold a relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Bring proven organisational and project management skills to prioritise and deliver tasks within agreed timeframes.
Offer experience in providing high-level administrative support to senior leaders in complex environments.
Apply sound judgement and initiative to work independently while adhering to established frameworks and procedures.
