Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care? We are currently seeking internal applications from exceptional teachers for the leadership position of Head of House.

This is a unique opportunity to co-lead and co-manage one of our Houses, working closely with a team of pastoral care staff and supporting students across a range of year levels. The successful applicant will play a significant role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-lead and manage a House, including its pastoral care team and student cohort
  • Provide leadership in student wellbeing, pastoral and academic care initiatives
  • Support and mentor student leaders
  • Collaborate with staff, students, and families to address student wellbeing and academic needs
  • Contribute to the broader life of the School

To thrive in this role, you will:

  • Be aligned with the School's ethos, vision and values
  • Hold a current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualifications
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and staff management skills
  • Possess expert knowledge of wellbeing and pastoral care practices
  • Understand the developmental and learning needs of students across year levels
  • Communicate effectively and resolve conflicts with empathy and professionalism
  • Be collaborative, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
