**About this role**
You'll be joining the largest public health system in Australia and contribute to a world-class health system in NSW.
You will be working for the Community Living Programs team in the Mental Health Branch. The team delivers on highly visible, state-wide initiatives providing program management, policy development and stakeholder engagement.
The team manages: the Housing and Accommodation Initiative, Community Living Supports, Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative Plus, Mental Health Community Living Supports for Refugees and the Housing and Homelessness portfolio. The role will primarily support the Housing and Homelessness portfolio but will also support other programs as required.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Policy Officer to join the Mental Health Branch to work in this dynamic portfolio.
Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $110,266 - $122,058 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

**What you'll be doing**
- Contributing to the development of mental health policy and projects, in order to achieve Ministry and government objectives.
- Contributing to briefs, discussion papers, circulars, communication plans, media releases, policies and reports to senior executives and Ministers.
- Assisting the team with administrative duties, such as organising meetings and workshops, filing, keeping track of due dates and drafting agendas.
- Developing partnerships with peak bodies and community managed organisations in the mental health sector.
**About you**
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of policy advice and analysis in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and /or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
