Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Pet Circle Full time $104,000 - $130,878 per year

Dogs, cats, budgies and everything in between - pets deserve the world. They make us want to be better humans. That's why we've made it our mission to build the most engaged and passionate community of pets and pet parents across the world. And we're looking for talented team mates who can help us do it.

Founded in Sydney, our team of 500+ pet obsessives span Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines. We've scaled to become one of Australia's top five eComm companies and the no.1 online pet store. But we're just getting started. Like a whippet who's spotted their mate across the dog park, our growth is only going to accelerate, as we continue to disrupt the way that pet parents shop.

Excitingly, the pet industry is booming (as in $15 billion kind of booming) and online pet retail is set to grow exponentially in the next five years. So this is a unique career opportunity to be part of our epic growth story.

The opportunity
As a
Senior E-commerce Analyst
, you will be at the heart of our digital performance engine, analysing how customers engage with our website and app, and surfacing insights that optimise their shopping experience. You will translate data into actions and recommendations that influence strategy, testing, and execution, helping create personalised and highly engaging journeys for pet parents.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to measure, interpret, and improve performance across the funnel. This is a role for someone who is highly curious, loves digging into data, and enjoys turning complexity into clarity, always with the customer in mind.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Be the custodian of digital performance by leading the weekly business review of our eComm platforms, connecting the dots across customer, category, and pet performance to surface key insights and opportunities.
  • Provide actionable recommendations by analysing site data and experimentation results to optimise conversion, engagement, and loyalty.
  • Identify opportunities across categories to ensure customers are discovering and purchasing a wide variety of products, using insights to guide Category, Product, and Marketing teams toward growth.
  • Champion continuous improvement through data-driven experimentation, designing and analysing A/B tests to improve customer journeys and digital assets. Translate insights into clear reporting, dashboards, and stories that influence trading, personalisation, and product roadmaps.
  • Explore and evaluate emerging tools such as AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics platforms to improve scalability and automation of insights.
  • Ensure seamless execution by maintaining accurate measurement frameworks that are tied to commercial and customer outcomes.

The ideal toolbox

  • 4+ years of experience in e-commerce analysis, digital insights, or similar roles where data-driven recommendations directly influenced customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced SQL skills and the ability to interrogate large datasets to surface insights.
  • Experience with visualisation and analytics tools. At Pet Circle we use Looker, Looker Studio, and Fullstory.
  • Proven ability to design, run, and analyse experiments (A/B and multivariate tests), with a solid grasp of statistical methods and test design principles.
  • Skilled at building dashboards and reporting frameworks that track customer behaviour, funnel performance, and lifetime value metrics.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations that influence trading, personalisation, and product roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation, recommendation algorithms, and personalisation tools, with the ability to evaluate their impact on customer experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on diagnosing root causes and identifying practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Naturally curious and proactive, exploring new data sources, methodologies, and AI tools to drive performance.
