About the role

B Five Pty Ltd (Yoko Briese Accounting & Business Services) is seeking a Japanese Speaking Accountant to join our friendly and growing firm in Southport on the Gold Coast. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality tax, accounting and business services to our growing client base, with a focus on clients who require Japanese language support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of tax returns and FBT returns, BAS,IAS and other documentations for various types of clients
  • Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
  • Liaison with the ATO and ASIC
  • Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients
  • Use accounting software such as Xero, MYOB and Sage. Microsoft Excel is also required
  • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for client service improvements and business growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating exceptional customer service

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or similar
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role, preferably in a public accounting or professional services environment
  • Suitable work visa that permits to work in Australia
  • Must be proficient in tax return preparation software
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese, with the ability to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking clients
  • High attention to detail
  • Reliability and committment to providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsot Excel
  • Experience using an accounting software such as XERO and MYOB is preferable
