Auditor

We're partnering with a
respected mid-tier accounting and advisory firm
with a strong reputation across Australia. They're expanding their Cairns team and are looking for a capable
Auditor
who can bring technical depth, local experience, and a collaborative mindset.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and deliver external audits across diverse industries — from SMEs to large private and not-for-profits.
  • Plan and manage audit engagements end-to-end, reporting directly to experienced Partners.
  • Build strong, lasting client relationships through hands-on service and professional insight.
  • Coach and guide junior auditors — you'll be a role model for technical excellence.
  • Spot process improvements and add real value beyond compliance.
  • Get top-tier mentoring for the things you are yet to learn

What we're looking for

  • CA or CPA qualified
    (or close to completion).
  • 2–5 years' Australian external audit experience
    in a professional services firm (ideally mid-tier or Big 4).
  • Strong understanding of
    Australian Accounting Standards (AASB)
    and
    Auditing Standards (ASA)
    .
  • A genuine team player who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and delivers on deadlines.
  • Someone who enjoys client interaction and building trust through quality work.
