UGL has a strategic partnership with the Department of Defence across the Defence Fuels Network for Fuels Management, Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance. An opportunity now exists to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in Australia's Defence environment and support national security requirements of the Nation.

UGL Defence has recently commenced an Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance contract for the Defence Fuels network. We are recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor Shoalhaven, to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.

The Role

The Maintenance Supervisor, reporting to the O&M Superintendent, will be responsible for the effective operation of various assets and sites across the Shoalhaven area. Role will be based at HMAS Albatross in Nowra with travel to other sites across the region.

  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of maintenance trades and subcontractors
  • Work with Superintendent to ensure timely and effective delivery of Maintenance Services, in-line with Maintenance & Asset Management plans
  • Monitor relevant site level compliance reviews for all operational and delivery platform maintenance and compliance for relevant DFI's
  • Contribute to the management of the Maintenance budget performance
  • Ensure clear understanding across all sites of UGL and Defence HSE Expectations and obligations

About You

You will be a strong team player, a self-starter and dedicated employee that will draw on your extensive experience and diverse skills to deliver high quality outcomes for UGL and our customer while developing yourself personally and professionally. As an experienced Maintenance Supervisor you will have:

  • Extensive experience working in the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas or similar industries essential
  • Proven experience in maintenance management with a trade or tertiary qualifications in relevant fields. Prior experience in Defence Fuels will be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
  • Current holder or ability to obtain NV-1 security clearance
