The Green Pathways Program aims to make a big difference in the lives of school leavers with disability support needs in the Central Coast, and this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced horticulturist to make a substantial contribution.

About the RoleAre you passionate about plants AND people? We are looking for an experienced Production Nursery Supervisor who is also a qualified Trainer & Assessor to lead our nursery operations and deliver high-quality horticulture training.
In this rewarding role, you'll supervise our production nursery, mentor students and staff, delivering entry-level plant production skills training. Importantly, you'll work alongside and support employees and learners with varying disability support needs, helping them develop skills, confidence and meaningful work participation.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of the production nursery, ensuring compliance with industry standards, biosecurity protocols, and WHS regulations.
Supervise propagation, plant maintenance, pest/disease control, potting, and order fulfilment activities.
Monitor plant health and nursery productivity to meet production targets.
Lead, support, and motivate nursery staff, including supported employees
assist in the planning and development of accredited and workplace-based horticulture training
Conduct competency-based assessments in line with AQF and RTO standards
Provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job support to individuals with disability
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive work environment for all
Certificate IV in Nursery Production or Horticulture, plus extensive relevant industry experience
-Practical experience in production nursery operations
-Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring staff (including people with disability desirable)
-Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
-Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive workplace
-Current Driver's Licence
-Relevant clearances (Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain)
-Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
-Senior First Aid and CPR(desirable)
-Forklift Operator (desirable)
