Machine Operator Laser/Plasma Profiling

RPG Australia is a leading steel processing company specialising in the delivery of integrated steel solutions. We provide pressing, rolling, and profiling services to industries across Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Profile Operator to join our Wacol team on the day shift (6:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Friday). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment with room to grow – with future opportunities to move into other shifts if desired.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate laser and plasma cutting machines
  • Identify and pick steel products for jobs
  • Bevel and drill material as required
  • Maintain machine efficiency and output quality
  • Operate overhead gantry cranes for material handling
  • Load and unload steel plate on the cutting table
  • Set up machines and complete pre-start checks
  • Interpret part drawings and follow detailed work instructions
  • Maintain housekeeping and follow all safety procedures

About You
  • Experience operating laser and plasma cutting machines
  • Solid knowledge of warehousing and machine operations
  • Overhead gantry crane experience (highly regarded)
  • Current forklift licence (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication skills and a reliable work ethic
